Principle of measurement:
After interference, the infrared light enters an ATR crystal at an angle of total reflection (e.g. 45 degrees), the infrared light forms an attenuated infrared wave on the crystal surface, which is absorbed by the sample on the crystal surface andthe detector collects the reflected part of the infrared light to obtain the spectral information of the sample. This measurement is called attenuated total reflection measurement, or ATR measurement.
Crystal materials for mid-infrared ATR include diamond (Diamond), zinc selenide (ZnSe), germanium (Ge) crystals and silicon (Si) crystals, which are selected according to the test requirements.

Solid surfaces, powders, films, polymers, bitumen, gels, paintsand other samples that are difficult to measure through transmission mode.
